Blue Ridge PRISM Board of Directors
Candidate Nomination Form
We’re growing!
Blue Ridge PRISM is seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors!
As Virginia’s first Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA), we work to improve the health of our natural world in the northern Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding Piedmont and Shenandoah Valley, and we’ve become the trusted, leading expert for invasive plant training and education across the Commonwealth. Our success is driven by collaboration, education, and grassroots action—and we are looking for new board members who are excited to help us further our mission.
We’re looking for candidates who:
Share a strong commitment to environmental conservation and native ecosystems
Bring experience or interest in areas such as fundraising, development, outreach, community-building, nonprofit governance, finance, communications, or land management.
Are willing to actively participate in board meetings, committees, and strategic planning.
Can serve a 3-year term, with an average commitment of 8-12 hours per month.
You don’t need to be an expert in invasive species—just someone who cares and wants to make a difference.
This is a great opportunity to make a tangible difference in protecting Virginia’s landscapes while working alongside a team of dedicated and experienced conservationists.
